In fact, our Chinese people do not care too much about the Christmas. We didn’t celebrate Christmas when I was a child and only in recent years, it becomes a holiday and some young people may celebrate it. The celebration of Christmas in China also comes with the development of Chinese economy and many malls and online platforms start to use this day as a shopping day to persuade consumers to buy. In fact, many holidays in China become commercialization and the holiday atmosphere is replaced by buying and many commercial things. I don’t like the change of the holiday and I only enjoy the original way of celebration. For me, I will eat an apple on Christmas Eve since apple in Chinese means ‘ping an’ or just a good wish for hoping everything goes well in the coming new year.
