I'd have a question...does French people understand you....when you dont pronounce the words with the correct 'R' sound? Words like Merci?

It depend of the French speaker you are talking to, some will understand you and find it either funny or weird and others won't understand. Sometimes it will depends of the part of France you will go and either they are used to see tourist or not. 😊

Hello. I’m learning French since 4-5 months and the hardest thing for me to pronounce is R words. It is difficult because we have to pronounce it with throat. No matter how much I practice, it can never be as good as a native speaker. 😃

My French host mother corrected me, "C'est pas meurchi, c'est merci !". So, the r aside, the important bits are meh + see. As far as the r goes, of you can imagine a Spanish rolled r or a dental tap (the tt/d sound in little) and move that to the back of your throat, that is a continental French r sound.
