It’s still overcast today, and it’s pretty chilly outside. I have been studying English about different genres since I got up. Among all of the texts, there was a biography that caught my mind. It was about an inventor who made robots. I wish I can do something like him when I grow up.

‘I wish I could . . ‘ expresses a desire that sthg. can happen, though this may be unlikely or impossible
‘I hope I can . . ‘ states possibility, and desire or intention, but with greater likelihood that it will happen
