Hello eveybody! can u help me with a question pls?
is "get into gear" a comun expression, is it more like a old expresion? tbh is the very first time i hear it hehe.
Thx so much for your answers!!
It is common. The first time hearing this is when we are children and our parents want us to hurry up to do something like get ready to go to school in the morning, or work faster at doing household chores. Here are 80 video examples to see it in use many times and in many situations. https://youglish.com/pronounce/get%20into%20gear/english?
