What are the differences between these verbs?
allot,assign,allocate,dedicate,devote

(allot and allocate) both mean to give a portion or set amount of something to someone.
Assign is similar but this is more direct. I will assign this to you (specifically to you).
Devote is similar but this is more of “I devote myself to you” there are more feelings involved. Usually this is used to express a feeling of total will to do something for the other person. “All my time is devoted to this.
You would use dedicate much the same as devote. Very personal
