By taking about the chinese festivals, we may always think of the Spring Festival. But today I want to introduce another recent festival to you. People always called it "the Dragon Boat Festival". The most famous food about it is zongzi, which is made of sticky rice. Usually, people use two palm leaves to wrap different taste sticky rice in a specific way to form a quadrangle. It can be generalize two tastes, sweet and salty. I alway ate the salty taste, but this year I try the sweet taste. So I think all the tastes are good. I'm also looking forward to that you can try the zongzi.

When taking about Chinese festivals, we may always think of the Spring Festival. But today I want to introduce another recent festival to you. People always call it "the Dragon Boat Festival". The most famous food during this festival is zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), which is made of sticky rice. Usually, people use two palm(bamboo) leaves to wrap sticky rice stuffed with different fillings in a specific way to form a quadrangle. Generally, there are two types, sweet and salty(savoury). In the past, I always ate the salty(savoury) ones, but this year, I tried the sweet zongzi. So I think both types of zongzi are good. I hope that you will try the zongzi one day. -The English name for zongzi is usually "sticky rice dumplings." -"Fillings" is what you put inside the zongzi or dumplings. Ex pork, mushroom, red beans etc. - When you say a food is salty, it usually means there is too much salt added. So if it is not sweet, I think it is better to use the word "savoury" (or savory for US spelling).
I have been eating zongzi almost every year. I like both the sweet and savoury kinds. We usually buy them at the Asian grocery shops just before the Dragon Boat festival. Unfortunately this year, they were extremely expensive and I was not prepared to pay that much just for one zongzi. Hopefully I can get them again next year.
