It, This, That — please, I need the explanation of the difference one more time. It's not that I haven't tried try to figure out the nature of these pronouns, but I still make mistakes.
What I already know:
That — a strong pronoun. With "That" we point out for the first time on sth: That's my flower.
it — a weak pronoun, We use "It" when we already pointed out on sth with "That" and now just speak about the same thing with "It.": That's my flower. It's beautiful and I like it so much.
This — ?... I just use it randomly here and there to point out on sth.

Another difference between this v that is..
We use this when the noun we are using is near us. Ditto with timings/time
That is used when the noun is further away, in distance or time or relevance
Do you like this hoody I’m wearing today? Or did you prefer that hoody I was wearing yesterday?

Which of these pronouns you choose to refer to something reveals how you feel about that thing. As an example, consider:
"Today is a beautiful day. [IT, THIS, THAT] makes me happy." The three choices can be used interchangeably and do not alter the essential meaning. However, if the speaker uses...
THIS, it means the speaker holds the idea (today is beautiful) close to himself. This closeness is in a psychological sense, as if the speaker were holding the beautiful day in his own hands and showing it to you.
THAT, it means the speaker holds more distant from himself. It is as if the speaker were pointing his finger at the idea, the beautiful day, which is somewhat distant from himself psychologically.
IT, it means the speaker is doing neither of the above. "IT" is neutral and gives no feeling of being near or far.

I love this question. Here is the explanation I find most handy. Read the following story-
I was talking down the street when I saw a cat.
*note here that -a- is used because you have not to this point had a relationship with this cat.
It was following me on the sidewalk all the way down the road.
*note here that -it- is used because you have already established what -it- is so there is some familiarity.
This and that are less concerned about familiarity, and more concerned with distance in time, space, location. This cat that is next to me is black. That cat outside is white. This is my book. That is your book. This is the time in the US. That is the time in China. This is going to be a long day. That was a long day.
I teach English classes. I would love to help you. Feel free to message me if you need more help or are interested in classes.

This is a good question.
This / That = Вы можете думать об этом по-разному.
1) Что-то рядом с вами по сравнению с чем-то, что дальше от вас.
This city is safe but that city is dangerous.
This car is fast, but that car is faster.
This bread is cheap, but that bread is the one that I want.
2) Первое, о чем вы говорите, по сравнению со вторым, о чем вы говорите.
This movie was entertaining, but that movie changed my life.
This idea is satisfactory, but that idea will never work.
This project is easy, but that project is difficult.
Кроме того, чтобы добавить путаницы, иногда эти 2 слова взаимозаменяемы. Как и многие вещи в новом языке, они узнаются в основном путем их частого прослушивания.
Удачи!
