What’s the difference between 恶梦 and 噩梦? , both are èmèng and translate as nightmare

They both are the same thing, nothing difference except for different characters to write. 噩梦 ought to be the original phrase, but some people wrongly wrote it as 恶梦, and the mistake spread widely. So it becomes acceptable gradually.
