Community TutorI feel like I’ve always been a mix of both a child and an adult. Even when I was a kid there were many times when I felt I had to think and behave more like an adult because of situations around me. I think some people just grow up earlier depending on what life is like for them.
So, it’s not really about choosing between being a child or an adult. I like the good parts of both. I really value emotional maturity and being able to handle pressure and take care of myself. At the same time I like childlike curiosity and openness.
What I don’t like is being childish in the sense of being careless, irresponsible, selfish, mean to others and hurting people and thinking there will never be consequences for it. Sometimes people use being “young” as an excuse for bad behaviour, gossiping, or treating others badly. I don’t agree with that mindset. I strongly believe in karma and accountability. I feel that if you do something wrong, you should face the consequences and learn from it and if you still choose not to learn, then be prepared for whatever life sends back your way.
