Both adults and children like to play games. There are games for teaching everything grammar games, vocabulary games, quizzes for general knowledge, ( you don't say what or who you teach so it's difficult to suggest any specific games)
Team competitions and games are usually popular because students don't feel any pressure on them as individuals. Charades is a very popular game in England which you can adapt to language teaching. Do you know it? http://www.wikihow.com/Play-Charades.
Music is also a great way to liven up a classroom. http://www.songsforteaching.com/index.html
