"mussels" in Chinese: the seafood with a black shell and orange flesh?
They are like oysters, they are bivalve (double shell), the shell is elongated, they are much smaller than oysters, usually black (new zealand type have a big green edge), they like to stick to rocks by means of "hair", the flesh is yellowish or orange, the come from the sea. I don't know what more I could say... :-)
