what does "avez" means ?
I just started learning French
and I couldn't find what " avez " exactly means !!
in this question:
Avez- vous une minute ?
I know it's means : do you have a minute ? but what the word " avez " means , is it " do " or " have " or something else ???????????!!!!!!!!!

'avez' is a present tense conjugation of verb 'avoir' which is verb 'to have'.
Vous avez (you have)
*Plural you ( for respect)
The present tense conjugation of verb 'avoir' (to have):
J'ai
Tu as
Il/elle a
Nous avons
Vous AVEZ
Ils/elles ont
Avez vous une minute?
Literally translated it will be:
Do you have a minute?
