Dear all,
In my daughter's reading books from school, There is such a sentence ---The photocopier went wrong. " Oh, blow! " said Mrs.May. What's the meaning and usage of "blow" here?

Oh, blow ! /Oh, blow it! is an old fashioned an expression of anger or frustration, meaning "Oh, no!"

'Oh blow' is a mild expletive similar to 'oh bother!' or 'oh, blast!' usually said when someone is irritated or frustrated.

It's an expletive. You say it when you're annoyed. She could have siad: "Oh shit!" Instead she said: "Oh blow!"
