What's the difference between "da" and "seit"? Thank you:)

"da" is causal (answers "for what reason?"), "seit" is temporal (answers "since when?").

Da du schon hier bist, kannst du mir helfen. = Since you're here you can help me.
Seit(dem) er hier ist, hilft er mir. = Since he got here he's been helping me.
That is the difference.
