Difference between creo que and pienso?

Creer means to believe, whereas pensar means to think. I agree with Cherry; creer is more for definite beliefs and common usages as with Creo que sí. Pensar is more personal in that it is weaker in opinion. The strength between creer and pensar is comparable to probable and possible, respectively. However, the two are commonly interchangeable just as to believe and to think are in English.

creo que means 'I think' * Creo que sí I think so * Creo que ha sido Didiaj I think it was Didiaj *Pienso que (means creer ,opinar) to think about something as in giving one's opinion * Pienso que no vendrá I don't think she'll come Notice ,that " Creo que" is definitely more popular than "pienso que" when you want to say "I think, believe, have the opinion of ...."

creo que = I guess that pienso = I think "creer" no implica razonamiento, "pensar" si.
