Do you say "I like to read" "Me gusto a leer" in Spanish?

"Me gusta leer"

For some reason in spanish we prefer to say "reading delights me"(me gusta leer) instead of "I like reading"(yo gusto de leer).
This is just like this other question too:http://www.italki.com/answers/question/108412-0-1-2.htm
In english you take the "responsibility" for liking it.
In spanish you "blame" the books.
