Hey, Mack, where is the nearest truck stop?
i ask this question because i miss fedmaxy's answers and of course Eliot's funny comments.

Hi Safaa, nice to see you back at Italki. Here "Mack" is another word for "man" or "buddy" or "dude." It's used in a friendly manner, when you don't know a man's name.

Otherwise all I could find was this:

I agree with Jura, it's like saying "buddy", "pal" or "dude" (or "mate" in Australia). It's typically American.
Trivia - "Mack" came from the Gaelic "mac", meaning "son", brought over to the US by the Irish immigrants.
