So how do you say "I hope" in Korean? (For example: "I hope he will get better soon").

I'd say...."~ 면 좋겠어요" or "~ 를 바래요" for "I hope(that) ~"
I hope he will get better soon
= 그가 곧 건강이 좋아지길 바래요.
(geu-ga got geon-gang-i jo-a-ji-gil ba-rae-yo)
= 그가 곧 건강을 회복하면 좋겠어요.
(geu-ga got geon-gang-eul hoe-bok-ha-myeon jo-ke-seo-yo)
