When you are talking about feelings, "down" can refer to "deprimido" or ""desanimado". As in, "I'm sorry that she left you, but don't let it get you down."

Sorry, I have no idea what it even means in English (in an emotional sense). Where did you hear it? Some context might help to answer the question more fully.
