the full sentence is これは甘さ控えめでおいしい !
' it's delicious because it has less sweetness '
base on context,I guess it may have extended meaning,but I just can't figure out

この「甘さ」というのは砂糖のことです。
お菓子を作るときに、砂糖を入れすぎるのは健康に良くないと考えられています。また、甘すぎるお菓子は食べられないという人もいます。
それで、大人向けのお菓子は砂糖を少なく=甘さ控えめ にすることが多いのです。
