what is a less formal word referning to collusion/ what do we call parties involved in collusion

Verbs: "Someone is In cahoots with..." or "They are playing footsie/footsies." - both slang. Conniving would be a less formal term which is not slang.
I forget if there is a noun for it. "Conspirators", perhaps.
