When we say something " sounds good" what we mean is that the idea described is appealing.
Example.. Shall we go to the movies tonight?...... Sounds good to me.
I got a new job at the bank. ...That sounds good.
I have some steaks that we could grill. ... That sounds really good. It is used as a reply after someone makes a statement.

Hey,
"That sounds great/good" means the proposed idea or plan is a good one that I agree with or want to take part in.
For example: "Do you want to go shopping with me tomorrow?"
The correct response is "Yes, I do." OR "Sure, that sounds great."
