in the following sentences, does they mean the same thing?
many students are having lessons.
many of students are having lessons.
给我感觉,这好像是站在不同角度看待问题一样,“有些”人喜欢从整体看问题,“有些”人喜欢从局部看问题。如果是我进行翻译的话,我会用some of people ,而不是some people。在some of people中some是pronoun 。而在some people中,some是determiner。

"Many students" refers to students in general.
"Many of the students" refers to a specific group of students.

many students指的是 有很多人, 可以替换为 a lot of students, lots of students.
many of the students指的是 一群特定的人中的大部分, 可以替换为 most of students, majority of students~~ cheers~
