Despite oneself....How to make a sentence ?
Despite oneself , I know its meaning but how to make a sentence.
I tried to make two sentences here , are they correct ?
( 1 ) I go to work every day ,despite myself.
( 2 ) You need to humor your parents's wishes , despite yourself.
I feel above sentences is a little bit strange but I can't put my finger on it...
Anyone can help me to modify them ? Thank you in advance.
