This is what I found on the net: Chemung Speedrome is a small oval which is located near New York, USA. The Chemung Speedrome was originally built as a dirt racing track in 1951 by the Bodine family of Chemung. By 1978 the track had to close, and stayed as a derelict venue for more than twenty years. After buying the track in 1985 the current owner started to rebuild the track in 1997 and in October of 2000 they re opened the track and started racing again. It’s a small track which is just 0.375 miles with one layout, meaning the series using the track are solely stock cars such as Nascar. The Speedrome features all new TV-quality Musco lighting, a 3000 seat main grandstand, a 28 stall paved pit lane and much more.

A ~drome is a sports arena. I imagine the speed drome is an arena for car racing. It would look like a football stadium or an Olympic running track. It wouldn't be very big either.
