What is the difference between contingency and emergency? Hello everyone, could you help me with that? i am confused in actual use.thank you.

A contingency is a future event that cannot be predicted precisely; that is, something that is unexpected. An emergency is also an unexpected event, but it is serious and usually requires immediate response.
