Translate Please: [What's up dawg?] 哥们儿 , 怎么了? 你好!怎么样? Gēmen er, zěnmeliǎo? Nǐ hǎo! Zěnme yàng? What is the slang for comrade? Like Chinese-to-Chinese...a man that is like a brother to you? Any equivalent of the American slang: What's up dawg? It is like "how are you my brotha (brother)?" or "hi, what have you been doing?" Hmm...may be it can be loosely translated as "my brother" and not "comrade," though it is used by "best buds." Do you know? Like BFF=Best Friends Forever...

What's up,dawg? = 哥们儿,怎么样? comrade(同志) itself is a little bit formal word, although it is commonly used in daily conversation. as Eliot mentioned, there is no Slang for it.

What's up,dawg? = What's up, dog. It comes from a cartoon character called "Deputy Dawg", who is in fact a dog. There is no slang for "comrade". "comrade" is a communist term.
