self-combust = burst into flames
Phosphorous self combusts at room temperature.
Actually, the word doesn't really exist. We usually say "self combustion", the noun.

It is when a person has a build up of certain substances in their body that cause them to spontaneously ignite into flames. I doubt it actually happens but one never knows.
