what does 'wherewithal' mean?
I would have had neither the courage to begin this book nor the wherewithal to see it through without the compassionate support of my lovely girl.
Does this guy really mean money for 'wherewithal'?

Meredith,
Yes, he really did man 'wherewithal'.
Wherewithal (noun)....resources, ability and means (usually money).
He didn't have the wherewithal to keep a girlfriend let alone run for public office.
