If I want to say this kind of hair style or this kind of cloth is very this year's trend. Shall I say it's “in" or "stylish" or " popular"?

You could say "it's currently in style" or "it's currently in vogue". There are many ways of saying what you want to say.

all of those could work, you could say its stylish, or its popular, or thats it in. although, not many people say 'in'
