How do you call furniture like sofa, bean bag, puffe, recliner, sectional set, ottoman etc ?
Is there a single word to describe all the soft furniture used to sit on? I'm afraid "upholstered" doesn't fit in here and "soft" furniture seems suspicious to me. Any other suggestions? :)

English is my first language, and I don't know any single word to describe all types of 'soft' furniture. Usually, if we are being specific, we can say 'living room furniture' (which includes the sofa, recliner, ottoman, etc.) or just describe furniture based on the room that it goes in, such as dining room furniture (dining room table, dining room chairs). As you can see, we sometimes refer to furniture by the room that it belongs in, though we mostly only do that with dining room furniture, since there is more than one room that a table or chair could possibly go in (like a bedroom, living room, dining room). I hope that helps!

I have never heard of such a word in English... it's all just "(living room) furniture."
By the way, it is "What do you call furniture...," not "How do you call furniture...."
