I have forgotten everything.
"J'ai tout oublié." or "J'ai oublié tout." Are both correct? Does one sound more awkward? Or is it just a matter of personal preference?

Bonjour
"J'ai tout oublié." is correct .In past we must put "tout" between "avoir" and "participe passé", but in prensent tense we must put "tout" after the verb.
for ex. J'oublie tout.
We use the same rules for adverbs "beaucoup, peu, encore, déjà, trop etc"
for ex. Je travaille beaucoup
Hier, j'ai beaucoup travaillé
