it's hard to distinguish them. I try to recall how do I learn it as a chinese. we may just remember several phrases. 抠门，but you can't say 掏门。 sometimes you may exchange them,like 抠耳朵 and掏耳朵. I think the best way is to listening the chinese news very often.
