i broke my leg vs. i got my leg broken

He broke a leg...is correct
He got his leg broken...sounds like he did it on purpose.

"I broke my leg" is correct.
"I got my leg broken in a car accident" is fine.
"I got my leg broken in a big fight, and the other guy broke it with a baseball bat".
"I got my leg broken when I fell off a bridge and landed on some rocks below".

Hello. Interesting sentence, I hope you didn't actually break a leg:)
I believe "I broke my leg" is more convinient to use but "I got my leg broken" can be used as well.
I think the second sentence is not just a statement, but also refers to a situation.
Even if they are correct in my opinion, you might want to make a longer sentence than that, like where, when, how, etc.
