what does childish gestures means in this sentence?
on the way to his home the child turned many times and beat the dog,proclaiming with childish gestures that he held him in contempt as an unimportant dog,with no value save a moment.

Childish gesture would be some visible act that would be judged as immature and unreasonable - something only a child would do, not a mature grown-up.

He waved his arms and bent his waste as he yelled, being very dramatic. Usually it would be a child that gets so intense in a way that shows so much fury. So these gestures (body language) are called childish (like a kid.)
