May I respond the requestor who is giving me also some recommendations for doing this and that that "Yes sir, I will follow up accordingly."

It's quite an "official" response. It would be used in business, or high-class situations. In general conversation, it would be a bit out of place.

For a more informal response, you could say "Yes, I will do that." Unless of course you wanted it to be formal, which your example would be correct.
