How to understand this sentence
I found this sentence
ひだるい時にまずいものなし
It means: Nothing tastes bad, when hungry
Hidarui, toki ni mazui mono nai.
but I have hard time to understand the literal construction.
Can somebody explain?

Actually, I saw the proverb for the first time :).
ひだるい時にまずいものなし。 Hidarui toki ni, mazui mono nashi.
Hidarui is adjective and means "hungry, starving" as you said.
→ひだるい時に、(何を食べても)まずいと感じる食べ物は 無い。
→とても空腹な時は、何を食べても 美味しく感じる。
Whenever you're starving, you can eat any foods and they always taste good even if they are disgusting foods.
This proverb also implies the meaning that when you change your situation or thought, you can see or feel things in a different way.
