My heart dropped - I was very saddened, disappointed, maybe scared.
"My heart dropped when I found out that I was rejected for the position."
My stomach dropped - I was scared and worried to the point of nausea. I felt 'queezy', maybe like I was going to throw up.
"The airplane dipped suddenly and my stomach dropped."
My heart dropped to my stomach - I got butterflies in my stomach - I'm very nervous and worried. Closer to the 2nd phrase
