人称代名詞"Dear"の使い方
英語で相手を呼ぶ人称代名詞に"Dear"と言うものがありますが、
どこまでの関係の相手に対して使用していいのか解りません。
たとえばそこまで親しくない男友達に"Hi, dear"みたいに使ってしまっても、
恋愛感情があると勘違いされないでしょうか?
普段、私は親しい女友達や、学校の生徒(子供)たちに対して普通に使用していますが、
会って間もない友達や、少し親しい程度の男友達に使用していいものか困ります。

Calling someone "dear" usually requires close familiarity or affection.
Often, a store clerk will call a customer "dear", but often customers will be annoyed at this.
Sometimes, a man will call a woman "dear" even if they are not close. Years ago this was tolerated, but more recently it is not acceptable. It is interpreted as not showing respect.
