What's the difference between mine and mineral? noun. Thanks!

mine could mean this is mine- so you own what you have, basically saying it's yours

A mine is a hole in the ground which we make because we want to get gold, or coal or diamonds (etcetera). We can sometimes call rocks minerals. Coal, gold and diamonds are all minerals. So to remember it easier, the minerals are in the mine. We build the mine to get minerals.
