Is this sentence correct? They don't approve of such things like hairstyle, clothes etc.

They don't approve of such things as hairstyles, clothes etc. It would make more sense if you said: They don't approve of such things as current hairstyles, clothes etc. If they don't approve of any hairstyles or clothes, it would mean that they want people to shave their heads and wear not clothes. It makes sense if you say that they do not approve of a particular hairstyle(s) and a particular type (or types) of clothes.
