I just answered your question as a neutral. If you want my take on it, I don't believe in this story. I am not a christian. I believe we came from evolution. I believe the creationist theory is just a story. I also believe that religion has caused much suffering in the world. I also believe the people fighting to prove the superiority of their own religion are the ones who are the most ignorant about their own religion. I believe that humanity should be our religion and that sin is nothing but basic human behaviour.

"I am from the light, because the only shade i have is that my body produces." is not that way, we are like dexter, we have our "dark passager" living inside of us, we choose what to do with this, some let he comes out, others prefer hide and try to kill him, the right thing to do. But we can not deny,we are like a Yin Yang. http://brasilescola.com/imagens/filosofia/yinyang.jpg

Original sin, also called ancestral sin, is, according to a Christian theological doctrine, humanity's state of sin resulting from the fall of man. This condition has been characterized in many ways, ranging from something as insignificant as a slight deficiency, or a tendency toward sin yet without collective guilt, referred to as a "sin nature", to something as drastic as total depravity or automatic guilt of all humans through collective guilt. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says: By his sin Adam, as the first man, lost the original holiness and justice he had received from God, not only for himself but for all humans. Adam and Eve transmitted to their descendants human nature wounded by their own first sin and hence deprived of original holiness and justice; this deprivation is called "original sin". As a result of original sin, human nature is weakened in its powers, subject to ignorance, suffering and the domination of death, and inclined to sin (this inclination is called "concupiscence")

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the Garden of Eden. That was the first sin. Because they disobeyed God, sin came into the world. Now, we have thorns, thistles, pain, death and suffering in the world. God created the world, but He did not create evil, sin happens because He gave us a free will. What if He had made us like puppets? With no free will, there would be no sin, but without a choice, we would not be given the opportunity to choose to follow Him. Everyone who follows Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, does so because they want to. God does not force us to believe in Him. I am so thankful for His wonderful gift of salvation! He sent His only Son to the world to pay the terrible price of sin. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 He died on a cross, one of the most horrific forms of torture and death. He experienced separation from His Father, and all to bridge a way for us to know God. To anyone reading this, please think carefully about where you will spend eternity. This life on earth is only temporary, and after death, there is an eternity waiting for each one of us. Where will you spend eternity? "Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalm 16:9-11
