怎么翻译这个谜: Why did the chicken cross the road? -- To get to the other side.
这是一个很有名的美国的谜语。尤其是小孩子特别喜欢告诉的。我把它换成翻译的话就是这样：为什么鸡过马路了。--因为想到马路对面去。
呵呵：）我翻译对不对。

听同学讲过这个笑话，一年多前。。。
当时她说的是，
“为什么小鸡要过马路呢？” （翻译的话，好像不是“小鸡”，就是“鸡”）
（沉默片刻）
“因为要到马路对面去！”
个人感觉，“为什么鸡过马路了”好像，这个“了”好像说我们一起看见鸡过了马路，之后她问我一样。
