An endeavor is any effort to accomplish something.
A student studies as an endeavor to get a degree.
A professional endeavor would simply be an effort to accomplish something as part of a business or profession.
If I work on a project for my company, the work would be a professional endeavor.
Starting a business would also qualify, as would practically any effort having to do with a job or making money.
