When are fruit and fruits used in their plural meaning?

If I am talking about fruit in general, I say 'fruit'.
"You should eat fruit with every meal."
If I am talking about different kinds of fruit, I will say 'fruits'.
"The supermarket has many fruits" = has many kinds of fruit.
