What's the meaning of "carrion-eating smile"?

carrion = dead flesh; dead animals
Birds of prey eat carrion. They generally circle the carrion with a "grin" on their beaks. Their only intention though is to eat the meat.
I think you get the meaning now of such a nasty smile on someone.
