Как сказать "чтобы" по-английски...
Всегда использовал "to+inf" и "that", а недавно обнаружил, что в английском языке другие варианты сказать "чтобы", то есть связать два предложения вместе.
Для примера приведу фразу (целиком): "I want you TO put your hands up WHERE I can see them.... Ok, I want you TO keep your hands up, I'm gonna unlock the door. I want you TO count to 5, come in, close the door and lock it behind you."
Вольный перевод: "Подними руки, ЧТОБЫ я их видел.... Ok, не опускай их. Я открою дверь (поверну замок) и хочу, ЧТОБЫ ты сосчитал до пяти, вошел и закрыл за собой."
А как сказать по-английски "Говори громче, чтобы я слышал" или "Я настаиваю на том, чтобы мы пошли туда вместе"? Спасибо.

Я не думаю что ты прав.  "Чтобы" лучше перевисти как so/so that/in order to.  In English that will combine two sentences where the first is the reason for the second.  All of your examples use the common verb "want to" which is only translated sometimes as "Чтобы".  An example where it's not is: I want to fly = Я хочу летать.

Here are the translations for your sentences:

Speak louder so (that) I can hear you.
Raise your hands so (that) I can see them.  
Speak louder so (that) I can see hear.
I insist on us going there together.

Второе предложение с придаточным изъяснительным, а не цели. I insist on that we'll go there together. По-моему так. :)
