What is the difference between produce and manufacture?
"This factory manufactures steel", can the "manufactures" be replaced of "produce"?
When to use these two words?
Thank you~

To produce can can mean the same as manufacture yet with a bit more of a broad use. Manufacture can not mean all of the same things as produce.
Grape vines can produce grapes but would never manufacture grapes.
A factory can manufacture refined steel and it can also be said to produce it as well.
So produce is a broader term that encompasses manufacture. Manufacture is a little more focused on human innovation to make a substance or product.
I hope this helps.
