How to express this in Mandarin I'm writing a paper on the provinces of China and plan to mention Taiwan. The National Geographic Society describes the situation in this way on one of its maps: "The People's Republic of China claims Taiwan as its 23rd province. Taiwan's government (Republic of China) maintains that there are two political entities." How to express this in Mandarin? Thanks.

you can translate the passage like this :我正在写一篇有关中国省份的文章,计划提及台湾,美国国家地理杂志社在他的一幅地图中这样描述大陆和台湾的情况:中华人民共和国宣称台湾是其第二十三个省。台湾政府(中华民国)却认为,是两个不同的政体。
