The above is correct, however by way of a shortened summary: 'Twisted' means that is disturbing in nature, i.e. it contains adult themes of violence and depravity.

It's hard to be sure without a context. However, one of the meanings of the word "twisted" is "having strange, distorted or bizarre characteristics; mentally or emotionally disturbed or unhealthy."
Suppose you read a book that says people should torture dogs and cats. You could say, "This book is twisted!" That would mean that the book contains strange, unhealthy material.
